‘Human race is a born explorer ‘ and hence we are keen to know about the Earth and its neighbours.
Stem and Space Organisation conducted an exclusive Lunar Workshop Chandrayaan - 2 for the students of Class 7 to 9 in our school today.
The objective of the workshop was:
● To create an awareness about the mission and its objectives
● Making of the model of Chandrayaan - 2,
● Exploring Giant Moon Map, to learn about the landing position of the Chandrayaan ,
● Understanding the concept behind the working of the rover on the lunar surface
The session started with some ‘ Fun facts about the Moon’ . A presentation on Chandrayaan-2 was shown to the children which included the following :
Difference between space missions launched by India and other countries
Parts of Chandrayaan 1 and Chandrayaan 2
Objectives of Chandrayaan mission
Why Chandrayaan mission should be considered a success rather than a failure?
After the presentation , learners viewed the Giant Moon Map, Model of a rover and its working. .
Learners also performed a Fun Activity of making a 3- D Model of Chandrayaan -2 .
