The Project Day of class 5K was a tribute to the paragon of Chayavaadi era of Hindi literature- Mr. Suryakant Tripathi 'Nirala'.

The event began with a welcome note by the narrators followed by a brief account of Mr. Nirala's life history. Next, there was a poem presentation on Nirala's masterpiece - 'Wo Todti Pathar'. The focus of this presentation was on the fact that Nirala could create exceptional art out of something as mundane and ordinary as breaking rocks. Nirala didn’t need astounding topics to make his writings captivating.

Next to follow, was a sensational session of poetry by the four pillars of the Chayavaadi era of Indian poetry- Nirala and his contemporaries- Jaishankar Prasad, Sumitranandan Pant, and Mahadevi Verma. A graceful and elegant dance performance on “Var de VeenaVaadini”, followed the poem Jugalbandhi.

The grand finale of the day was a phenomenal dramatic representation of another gem of Shri Nirala- “Ram ki Shakti Puja”. It explored the theme of spiritual and moral struggle in the face of injustice. 

Overall, the Project Day was an incredible and stunning glorification of the life of a simple yet prominent poet of Indian literature- Suryakant Tripathi’Nirala’.
