PRIMARY WING
Set in one of the greenest localities of Delhi-Ashok Vihar, the Primary Wing of Kulachi Hansraj Model School at present caters to a heterogeneous group of over 2800 students with a staff of about 95 teachers.
At Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Primary Wing , the aim is to create thinking minds. It seeks to provide education through the best of facilities. The ergonomically designed building, ICT equipped classrooms with 100% power back-up, 4 well-equipped computer Labs, R.O. water purifier, art & clay room which seek to develop a love for aesthetics in the children. The art work and clay models are displayed within the school to motivate the young artists. the schools endeavours to provide the best of hands–on training to make experimentation and exploration a vital key to preparation for Life. The well stocked fully automated library with about 25000 books, 25 periodicals, 5 dailies as well as a library within all classrooms to prepare a unique learning experience and updated e-library to prepare well-read global citizens of the world. The medical room provides all first aid and is fully equipped to deal with medical emergencies. The school cafeteria provides healthy and hygienic food for the well-being of the students. Dance and Music exposes students to a wide range of music and dance forms. Children are groomed in both Indian and western forms and put up amazing performances in school functions. the fire safety and management systems complete with water hydrants and fire alarms ensure that the premises is fully equipped to tackle all emergencies. the porta hall is used for gymnastics classes and other group activities like workshops etc. CCtvs are installed in the classrooms , play ground and all over the premises.
The wing provides a host of activities and competitions in the School Planner. The thoughtfully designed curriculum takes into account all aspects of child development-academic, physical, spiritual and moral. The Planner is packed with academic, co-curricular and sports activities to stimulate creativity in the young learners.
The interactive teaching - learning process with Interactive boards, use of IT tools and various interesting strategies like Group Discussions, Role Play, Kids Parliament, Debates, Quiz, Wall Magazines enhance comprehension and make learning interesting.
The Early Education Programme (EEDP) applicable in classes I - II is a child-centric ongoing process of learning and assessment which includes a plethora of activities, Phonic games and multiple skill development of games to ensure the holistic growth of each young learner. The tiny tots learn new concepts through play when they participate in group activities and educational games in the captivating Activity Room and through the use of ICT tools.
Experiments and hands-on activities, use of videos, colourful illustrations and educational games captivate the learner's attention and ensure lifelong retention. Regular assignments and continuous and comprehensive evaluation system ensure all-round assessment, thus helping in the adoption of diagnostic and remedial methods. Remedial and ability classes are held on Saturdays in order to ensure that individual achievement is at par with class achievement and individual potential is maximized. Every faculty member adopts a learner and provides academic and emotional support to the learners.
The co-curricular activities conducted throughout the year develop multiple-intelligences and various skills in the learners. Project days with 100% participation, inter-class activities and competitions like Debates, Extempore, Ad-enactment, Flower arrangement, Fancy dress enhance learning, Field trips, Educational trips, Rallys, Special Assemblies, Celebrations of Days and Festivals are value-added features of the wing. The house system seeks to inculcate a sense of belongingness and pride among Kulachians.
Activities like Cancer Awareness Rally, Human Chains, Shramdaan, Community Service Projects, develop a sense of discipline, respect for hard work, and dignity of labour.
The Sports Coaching classes held at Primary Wing ensure skill development in various sporting discipline like Taekwondo, Gymnastics, Skating, Skipping, and Table-Tennis. We have dedicated halls for coaching classes to provide the best of infrastructural facilities and sports equipment to the students. Students participate and win numerous laurels at Zonal, State and National and International Levels.
We have also created an International platform by setting up Global Links through Video Conferences with partner schools in countries like Indonesia, Romania, Pakistan, Korea, Germany, Uganda and United Kingdom. The students share inputs and gain exposure to the culture, cuisines, life styles, academics set up in these Global Classrooms. We also observe International Days and conduct seminars and workshops with resource persons across the world through face-to-face interactive video conferences.
We aim to constantly move onwards, forwards and upwards. The mission and focus of the school is to create happy children, who will go on to be the future leaders of the nation.
