Cyber Awareness and Global EdTalk with State Senior High School-1, Indonesia

1. Theater is a powerful medium of expression and discussion on burning issues. Abhivyakti, the theater society of Kulachi Hansraj Model School, has always been in the forefront in creating awareness among the students and public on various social issues.
In this effort, our students got an opportunity to present a street play on 'Cyber Awareness' association with Rahul Khanna's Education Through Theatre in a program organized by Gurugram Cyber Police, Gurugram Police at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Gurugram.
Students talked about different types of cybercrime through drama. They explained how computer is used as a weapon in this crime. Cyber crime can threaten the security of an individual or a nation. Online fraud by cybercrime is on the rise and How it can be avoided.
People gathered in leaps and bounds to witness the play and were willing to change themselves for a better future.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was Ms Kala Ramachandran, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Gurugram and she praised the effort of all the children for spreading awareness through the power of Street Theatre.

2. KHMS Goes Global!
Being a recipient of British Council’s International School Award (2017-2020 and 2020-2023) for its commendable international projects, KHMS yet again strives to build international relations with partner schools.
On 22 July 2023, the Kulachi Global Club-Generation Global students collaborated with State Senior High School-1, Balikpapan, Indonesia for a Global EdTalk, an online panel discussion on SDG-4 Quality Education. The video conference started with an exchange of warm greetings between Ms. Dayang Sariani, Teacher Coordinator, State Senior High School-1, Indonesia and Ms. Pallavi Marwah as well as Ms. Princi Girotra, the Global Club Coordinators. Bhavik Gupta (VIII-D) and Kanika Goyal (X-B) were the student representatives (panelists) from KHMS who shared about the school’s education system, classroom learning experience and their opinions on quality education. Indonesian Students-Ghevira Putri and Muammal Alfin threw light on activity-based interactive teaching and learning experience of their school. Then, Ipshita Sahoo (X-B) and Palak Girdhar (X-A) highlighted some of our school’s past and present projects and achievements with the help of a Power Point Presentation which was followed by the partner school’s projects and achievements. Next, was the time for a Question-Answer and Reflection Session between the students. Tisya Srivastava (IX-E) and Hardika Jain (X-B) proposed how the future of education would look like. It was a delight to hear the thoughts and new perspectives of the Indonesian Students and reflect upon their questions too! Finally, Ms. Dayang and Ms. Pallavi decided upon the follow up activities between KHMS and State Senior High School,1 Balikpapan, East Borneo, Indonesia to be undertaken in the coming future and the EdTalk ended with heart-warming closing statements and a brief photograph session between the partner schools.
