VARIOUS ACTIVITIES ON PRIMARY WING

1. Subject - Social Studies
Class - Cambridge Class IV
Activity - Digging into the historical evidences.
For this activity , pictures of archaeological sources were shared among the students. Each group was required to analyse the picture given to them carefully. They noted down their reflection on the same.
With this ,they were able to understand the ideologies depicted by the sources.
2. Winners of DL DAV Pitampura , Crossroads 2023
3. Cambridge learners of class 1 showed their creativity by drawing their food preferences ( related to the story Eat Your Peas) from the text.
The students also had a discussion on importance of healthy eating and balanced diet.
They expressed their opinion’s which also helped them to extend their vocabulary.

The decimals in real life activity involves identifying and working with decimal numbers in practical situations. Students can learn by exploring measurements like money, where decimals are used in prices and transactions. To create a collage, they can collect images of items with decimal prices, like grocery items or restaurant menus, and arrange them creatively. This activity helps students develop a better understanding of decimal concepts, honing their real-world math skills while engaging in a fun and visual project.
6.The Cambridge Student Exchange Program with SDII Al Abidin Surakarta was a grand success.
6 students of classes VI-VIII with 2 teachers were a part of the Cultural Exchange Program from 24 -27 July 2023. The programme served as exceptional cross-cultural growth, and also helped students hone their interpersonal skills and develop a strong sense of teamwork.
They have benefitted greatly from their interactions with students of the partner school, as they gained new insights and built lasting friendships
7. Cambridge Class 3
Subject - Social Studies
Topic - Air around us
Activity - Exploring the properties of air
The teacher demonstrated inflation and deflation of a balloon. Students were asked to note down their observations. They characterised the air as being invisible, capable to move things. They also found that air has weight when they were asked to hold and compare an inflated and a deflated balloon.
