E WASTE COLLECTION DRIVE
1. “We don’t have to engage in grand, heroic actions to participate in change. Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.”
Kulachi Hansraj Model School in collaboration with CHINTAN NGO conducted an E-Waste collection drive to sensitise the students about the impact of the E-waste disposal system and its effect on humans and the environment. Students from classes VII-XII, faculty members and school contributed to the drive.
Student volunteers took sessions and created awareness about what is E Waste and its hazards. The students were shown a short video on the functioning and recycling process and the negative impact of E-waste on our lives.
The drive sensitised students that it is critical for us to cultivate consciousness and compassion towards our environment, create awareness and galvanize people for sustainable development
SAMVIDHAN DIWAS
2. “The Constitution is not a mere lawyer’s document, it is a vehicle of Life, and its spirit is always the spirit of Age.”
Constitution Day also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’, is celebrated in our country on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect on 26 January 1950.
As a part of the celebrations, our School planned innovative activities to highlight and reiterate the values and principles enshrined in the constitution.
An important part of the celebrations was the reading of the Preamble and reaffirming our commitment to uphold it. Students and teachers read the Preamble and earned certificates for the same.
An interactive session was conducted to uprise students about the values and fundamental principles of our constitution and to explain the enduring and invaluable rights and duties of citizens as envisioned by our founding fathers.
Poster making activity was done with students of class 9.
The day served as a reminder to live by and promote these timeless values in our communities.
