Celebrates Shakespeare Day

Every year, the 23rd of April is celebrated as the English Language Day at the United Nations observing the birth anniversary of William Shakespeare.
With a heart full of splendour and delight, the students from class IX-X rejoiced the day by showcasing an Assembly Programme which started with an interesting Introduction, apprising everyone about Shakespeare. This was followed by an Enactment of monologues and a drama presentation of an adapted version of the Shakespearean Drama-The Merchant of Venice. The celebrations ended with a short quiz based on terminology coined by the Bard of Avon, himself.

The colloquium held between Madam Principal and parents focused on the assessment scheme and addressing the needs and behaviors of children. It provided a platform for transparent communication and understanding between the school and parents.

The students of Class 7th enthusiastically participated in Card Making Activity and showcased their talent and creativity.
- Kulachians joyously celebrated the jewel of modern English Literature - William Shakespeare!!!
Students of class 9 feverishly participated in an ‘Inter-Class Character Dramatisation’, intriguing the audience with the Shakespearean charm. It was a delight to go back in time and witness the magic of characters like Macbeth, Juliet, Cordelia, Mark Antony to name a few. Nipun of class 9I bagged the first position, Nyesha of class 9J got the second position and Dakshita of class 9A came at position three!
Students of class 10 ardently participated in a riveting quiz of three rounds based on Shakespeare’s life and his works. It was a pleasure to witness the curiosity and sincerity of the students who whole-heartedly participated in the quiz and surely added a lot about ‘The Bard’ to their knowledge bank. Team 10A, 10B and 10I were declared the winners for the day!
Long live ‘The Bard’! May we keep taking inspiration from his writings as that surely is a mirror for the entire humanity!
