PRIMARY WING VARIOUS ACTIVITIES IN JULY 2024

-Our young sprinters of Cambridge Class 9  IGCSE  took to the ground for a run, collected the data themselves by making distance and time measurements, and used their graphing skills to describe the motion.
Involving students in the process not only empowered them to take ownership of their learning but also enhanced their engagement and self-awareness.

In today’s world, waste management is a pressing issue that impacts billions of lives. Students of Class 8K created an Eco Bin– a revolutionary step towards a cleaner and greener future.🍀🌈
 
The Eco Bin is designed to efficiently sort and manage waste, reducing the burden on our planet. This innovative bin is the brainchild of our dedicated team: Charvi Rooprai, Lamjing, Lakshay, Sonakshi, and Parnika. Together, they worked tirelessly to create a system that not only handles waste effectively but also educates the community on the importance of responsible disposal.
 
 "Eco Bin – Sort Smart, Save Earth!"
 
-Learning the fundamental concept of " Making Doubles' of numbers was made fun and enjoyable by different creative activities. Pre primary Cambridge students mastered this basic arithmetic which lays the foundation for multiplication and division.
 
-Students of Pre Primary Cambridge celebrated International Tiger Day ( 29th July) to show love and care for their favorite National Animal - "The tiger".While acknowledging it as an event to create awareness among all to save this endangered species students learned more about the fascinating tigers.
 
 
-The Class1 kids showcased their culinary creativity at the Monaco Toppings activity,  With a variety of ingredients to choose from, they crafted unique and delicious biscuit snack.     The activity not only taught them about different flavors and textures but also instilled  confidence in their cooking abilities. Overall, it was a fun and educational experience for all!

Story Telling Activity
Stories gives wings to the imagination and takes us to the places beyond the boundaries.
Students of Class PS Cambridge enthusiastically participated in Story Telling Activity. The students performed spectacularly narrating their favourite stories using creative props.

The students of Class 2 participated in an hands on activity - Making a head gear on the topic :Save Trees"
They enjoyed the activity thoroughly  and understood the importance of trees in their life. The smiles on their face after wearing their headgears were mesmerizing.

A village that creates value for its people and others outside its ecosystem with simple and cost-effective technologies and capture some of that value for itself is a SMART Village.
 
Students were given an opportunity to design their own SMART Village.They were required to share their plan in the class highlighting key features of their smart village.

Fork Printing
Art allows children to develop their creativity, imagination and helps in better understanding of concepts. 
While learning the topic of Animals, Preschoolers confidently and independently did fork printing to make a beautiful  Lion.
 
- Class - Cambridge 5 I, J
Activity - Spinning Earth: A Hands-on Exploration of Rotation and Revolution
 
To understand rotation and revolution, students made a clay Earth on a pencil to observe rotation by spinning it. For revolution, they used a pie pan with a small ball to mimic the Earth's orbit around the sun. This hands-on activity made learning engaging and clear.

-Shapes Hunt

Math is an important part of learning vital life skills at an early age .Children begin to identify shapes without knowing what exactly they are. 
 To develop and deepen the knowledge of different shapes in a fun filled and easy way  "SHAPES HUNT ACTIVITY’ was conducted   for the students of class PS Cambridge. This activity was organized with an aim of integrating fun, skills and concept. This hands on activity made learning engaging and enriching.
 
-“Save Trees” poster making activity in  Class 1 was done on 22/7/24 .Students drew Mother Earth and trees.  This hands-on learning experience, encouraged kids to think about their role in preserving the Earth for future generations.

 

- Cambridge Class 3 

Activity- Energy Toy
 
The Energy Law says that "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It can be changed into different forms".
Students of Cambridge Class 3 were given a task to make a toy and explain how energy changes from one form to another. 
 
Learners made interesting toys like a catapult, rocket launcher, solar-powered electricity house, windmill, electric car, vacuum cleaner, and so on. 
 
Learners displayed their creativity through toys. They enjoyed making the toys. They were able to understand the law of conservation of energy in a fun way by learning by doing.

- Class 5A

Helping hands 
 
The project presentation was an elaborate showcase of how hands can be  made helpful.
The expressions and efforts of the students in the skit ,dance and poem  were praiseworthy. The students hard work and perseverance was truly visible in their enthusiasm and curiosity for learning.
 
-Activity-What’s in the box?
Topic -Light and Dark
 
Light sources provide the light we need to see properly.If there is no source of light, it will be dark!
Students of Cambridge Class 1 worked in pairs to investigate whether they really need light to see things or not. They took turns to look through the hole in the box using a torch and recorded their observations in the science workbook.
 
 
-Play Dough Fractions
Play dough fractions are a great place to start the understanding of fractions.
The students of Cambridge
class 1 grasped this
concept with fun hands on- activity using play dough and a ruler. They made shapes using clay and partition them into halves and quarters. They also had an opportunity to learn and enhance their vocabulary by learning new words related to fractions.
 
-The students of Class 2  showed their culinary skills,by preparing a Russian Salad, using wholesome ingredients like potato, carrots, peas and beans.
 
The children also enjoyed eating the sumptuous salad .

 

-Cambridge English learners of Primary wing participated in a fun, News Broadcast activity called Be a Reporter.

The purpose of the all-embracing group activity was to allow students to learn the journalism language.
 
Students read a variety of newspaper reports and articles; did research work; and fabricated a News Broadcast performance which included International, National, Sports, Weather Report, and an advertisement.
 
Through this activity, students developed communication skills, and became critical readers and viewers of mass media.

- "When life gives you a rainy day

             PLAY in the puddles"
The tiny tots of Pre Primary Cambridge
turned this beautiful thought into reality this week. Enjoying the rain dance,jumping in puddles,making colorful boats, eating and sharing yummy rainy day snacks created many joyful memories this week.
 
- aper bags are a handy and eco-friendly alternative to plastic bags. Students of Classes  3 and 4  made Paper Bags using newspaper and  their creative ideas.It  was truly an enjoyable and rewarding activity.

- Rainy season is around. A symphony of raindrops and the cool breeze fills happiness in everyone's heart. Students of Classes 5 and 6 created beautiful rainy day scenes  using origami paper. It was a fun filled activity.

- Welcome back!!

Pre Primary Cambridge students rejoined after the summer vacations with great zeal. A day full of fun & colors for the budding artists marked the beginning of the joyous journey on the road of learning, games and activities in the coming session.
