- Vasundhara , the Eco Club of KHMS🌱conducted a series of exciting competitions in the month of October on the festival of Diwali🪔. The competitions were aimed at raising awareness about environmental issues and promoting sustainable practices. Students were encouraged to actively participate and showcase their creativity in addressing environmental concerns!
The students of classes seven and eight enthusiastically participated in Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competitions held at the school. The students of class nine participated in Glass bottle painting competition and the students of class ten participated in Rangoli making competition.
The young participants filled the atmosphere with vibrant colors and positive energy, turning the event into a lively celebration of environmental consciousness.

Kulachi Hansraj Model School, in collaboration with Rahul Khanna’s Education Through Theatre, presented "Bezubaan," an impactful anti-cracker awareness campaign. This initiative aimed to raise consciousness about the environmental and health hazards associated with firecrackers. Actors highlighted the importance of celebrating festivals responsibly and the adverse effects of noise and air pollution. The campaign fostered a sense of responsibility among the youth, encouraging them to advocate for a greener and safer environment. By blending education and creativity, "Bezubaan" successfully conveyed its message, inspiring the community to choose eco-friendly alternatives during festive celebrations.

- Diwali celebrated in its true spirits at KHMS
Diwali is the ultimate reminder to us that no matter how powerful evil may seem at the darkest hour,goodness and truth prevail through virtues of compassion and justice.
Students of VIVEKANAND HOUSE of KULACHI HANSRAJ MODEL SCHOOL celebrated Diwali on 29.10.2024, with great enthusiasm. The stage was set with flower garlands,diyas, and rangoli.
The young students proved that creativity and talent do not have boundaries.
From Ram bhajan to acts of Ramleela, all created an aura of spirituality. Besides, students were sensitized about the ill effects of crackers through a street play titled 'Dreams Unlimited' under the guidance of Mr. Rahul Khanna.
- Diwali is a festival that immerses everyone in a joyful festive spirit and strengthens our bonds with one another. School children are no exception to this vibrant celebration. The students of Class 7 and 8 had a delightful time at the Diwali Mela organized in the senior wing on October 23, 2024. The event was filled with illuminated stalls, delicious street food, exciting games, and lively music and dance. The enthusiasm and joy among the children were truly remarkable, making the celebration a memorable experience for all.

- Students of Class 8K and 9J participated in the CMS Virtual Visit hosted by CERN in Geneva , today .
In the CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) experiment at CERN, students were given a virtual glimpse of the following- The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and CMS detector.
The visit was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for children, offering a rare glimpse into the world of cutting-edge particle physics. Through this event, students explored the CMS detector, part of the world’s largest scientific experiment at the LHC, and engaged directly with scientists working on groundbreaking research.
- KHMS Bids Another Teacher Goodbye
Mrs.Daman Sahdev,TGT Hindi said sayonara to the school on 22nd October 2024 after giving 31 years of dedicated services as a Hindi teacher. Her family was by her side on this momentous occasion. A grand send off ceremony was organised to felicitate her. The Principal Ms.Sneh Verma presented a memento and a stole on behalf of the school. Students taught by her presented garlands and wished her joy, happiness and good health for her retirement days.

The Annual Newspaper of Goethe Insitut, the Kaleidoskop has recently launched its 3rd edition for the year 2024. The article written by one of our students, Mauli Kaur Chauhan, a student of our school has been published in their annual newspaper. The selected article was based on Rührei, a traditional German dish of egg noodles,compared to the novel Indian Egg Bhurji.
Mauli Kaur Chauhan also received a certificate of participation for her contribution to the newspaper. Kudos!!!!!!
- KHMS celebrated Mental Health Awareness Month Assembly
On 15th October, the school held an impactful assembly for Mental Health Awareness Month, organized by the Prayas Club, centered around the theme "Redefining Resilience: Turning Adversity into Opportunity." The event commenced with an inspiring address from our Madam Principal, who shared practical tips for integrating resilience into students' daily lives.
The assembly featured a variety of engaging performances, including poignant poem recitations that touched on personal experiences with adversity, and a vibrant dance drama that illustrated the journey of overcoming challenges. To further engage the audience, an interactive quiz on mental health was conducted, promoting active participation and reinforcing essential concepts. Overall, the assembly successfully raised awareness about mental health and resilience, encouraging students to view challenges as opportunities for growth.
- On October 16, 2024, an interactive session on Emotional intelligence and Resilience was conducted with Class 12 students, focusing on the significance of resilience in relation to mental health.
The session emphasized the need for emotional intelligence, drawing reflections from the Mahabharata and Ramayana to deepen students' understanding of these concepts. Students explored various strategies to build emotional intelligence, enhancing their ability to navigate challenges effectively.
Ms. Pooja, an expert counselor from DLDAV Shalimar Bagh, was invited as a guest speaker and provided valuable insights throughout the discussion. Special thanks to her for enriching the session with her expertise and guidance.
- Kulachi hansraj model school celebrated elders day , (9/10/24) for those who are always our well-wishers and supporters. Dance music and natak performances were organised and a self composed poem was also recited. On this special occasion two of the many elders came forward on stage to bless us . Principal mam greeted the elders for their heart warming presence.

- Tag der deutschen Einheit
German Learners of classes 9-10 celebrated the German Unity Day, also known as ‘Tag der deutschen Einheit’, to promote cultural knowledge and linguistic diversity among the learners and various activities were conducted during German language sessions.
Activities like Enactment of historical figures at the time of Reunification of Germany, showcasing of videos on Fall of Berlin Wall and German Quiz were conducted. German Posters were also distributed among German Learners. It was indeed a celebration of cultural diversity and linguistic exploration, and an unforgettable experience that will continue to inspire the students in their pursuit of knowledge and cultural understanding.

The morning of October 4,2024 brought in a lot of exuberance as the students of class 7 of Kulachi Hansraj Model School had a fun-filled and heartwarming No Bag Day ! Children watched the movie Binny and Friends , a touching story that highlighted the love, wisdom, and the essence of familial values that is passed down by grandparents. The students were thoroughly engaged and enjoyed yummy popcorn during the show!
After returning to school, the excitement continued as the effervescent children poured their creativity into making beautiful heart-shaped cards for their beloved grandparents.
It was indeed a fantastic way to celebrate the irreplaceable bond of family!
