Interact Club of KHMS attended a seminar on thalassemia
The Interact Club of KHMS attended a seminar on thalassemia on 29th May 2025 at PHD house , Hauz Khas to raise awareness and promote prevention through genetic counseling and screening. This seminar was conducted by The Rotary Club of Safdarjung on 29th May, 2025 at PHD house, Hauz Khas. Experts talked on thalassemia types, symptoms, and prevention. Personal stories offering hope and practical advice were also shared. The seminar successfully educated attendees and strengthened community support for those affected by thalassemia. The Rotary Club’s efforts were highly impactful.

Interact club organized Blood Doantion Camp
The Interact Club of Kulachi Hansraj Model School ,Ashok Vihar, under the aegis of Rotary Club of Garden City organized a BLOOD DONATION CAMP on May 17,2025. There was an overwhelming response as around more than 100 donors participated in the drive. The camp was not only about donating blood,but it also busted myths about it and focused on raising awareness about the importance of donating blood.
Interact club aimed to educate donors and the broader community on the urgent need for better healthcare practice and how small efforts from one can be a huge contribution in someone else's life.
The donation camp also underlined how the blood donation camp supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by ensuring access to safe blood, saving lives, and promoting community health. It fosters solidarity and strengthens healthcare systems through voluntary, life-saving contributions from individuals.

Making the First Impression Count – A Power-Packed Session on Presence & Personality!
A special training session on “The Power of Presence – First Impression and Body Language Basics” was conducted for the students of Classes 11 and 12, along with members of Paridhan – The Fashion Club at Kulachi Hansraj Model School on 16 May 2025. The session was led by Ms. Surbhi Puri, a seasoned soft skills trainer who has worked with prestigious institutions like IHM Meerut. With her dynamic approach and deep understanding of interpersonal communication, Ms. Puri guided students through the essential elements of making a strong first impression and mastering confident body language.
The workshop was interactive, engaging, and deeply informative, offering practical insights into personal presentation—a crucial aspect for aspiring fashion professionals. As part of the session, students were encouraged to create and present a moodboard, which allowed them to creatively express their understanding of the concepts discussed. The activity not only enhanced their visual communication skills but also helped build confidence in public speaking and self-expression. Overall, the session was a valuable learning experience that left a lasting impact on the participants.

Student Council Induction Ceremony at KHMS
Kulachi Hansraj Model School held its Investiture Ceremony on May 15, 2025, in the school auditorium, officially inducting the newly elected student council. Principal Ms. Sneh Verma congratulated the CBSE toppers and addressed the council members, reminding them of their responsibilities.
The ceremony featured the solemn oath-taking, badge distribution, and speeches by the new Head Boy, Arnav Jain, and Head Girl, Mauli Kaur Chauhan. House Captains and Vice-Captains were also felicitated by their respective house coordinators. The event concluded with the national anthem, reflecting KHMS’s commitment to nurturing leadership and integrity among students.

Baal Sanskar Shivir session by Geeta Parivar
A highly engaging and special session Baal Sanskar Shivir was conducted in our school by *Mr. Dheeraj*, a dedicated member of Geeta Parivar and his team, focusing on the core values of concentration, selflessness, and self-defence. The session began with engaging activities and stories designed to improve concentration among students. Mr. Dheeraj guided the children through simple breathing exercises , Om chanting and meditation, visualisation practice memory games and practical techniques to enhance focus in studies and daily life.
He then spoke about selflessness, using inspiring examples from Indian culture and mythology to teach students the value of helping others without expecting anything in return. Group discussions was used to reinforce this noble quality. The session concluded with a basic self-defence training, where students were taught simple yet effective moves to protect themselves. Mr. Dheeraj emphasized the importance of self-discipline and awareness in difficult situations. The Shivir left a deep impact on all participants, helping them understand how inner strength, good values, and preparedness can lead to a better life.

A School Health Checkup Camp was successfully conducted on 6th May for the students of class 7. The aim of the camp was to promote awareness about good health and early detection of any health issues.
The camp included- Dental Checkup: A team of dentists led by *Dr. Vani Rai Kapoor* examined students’ teeth and gums. They gave useful advice on brushing techniques, oral hygiene, and avoiding sugary foods to prevent cavities.
Eye Checkup: An eye specialist *Dr. Shekhar* conducted vision tests to identify any eyesight problems. Some students were advised to wear glasses, and all were guided on how to care for their eyes.
General Health Checkup: Students’ height, weight, and overall health was checked. They also shared tips on maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise, and the importance of staying hydrated.
The camp helped in identifying minor health issues early and encouraged healthy habits among children. Special thanks to the *Garvmay Foundation* and Ms. Ritu Jain, an esteemed alumni of our school, for initiating and supporting this noble cause. Their efforts truly made a difference in promoting student health and well-being.

KHMS Cleanliness Drive - श्रमदान Activity in collaboration with HWPL !!
As part of our international collaboration with HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light), KHMS students participated in a meaningful Cleanliness Drive - Eco Activity under the spirit of Shramdaan (voluntary offering of one’s labour) on 30 April 2025.
Students cleaned classrooms, corridors and the school ground with great enthusiasm. They also created vibrant posters promoting cleanliness and took part in HWPL’s Eco 10 Minutes, emphasising mindful environmental action.
This initiative not only promoted cleanliness, but also nurtured our students as responsible, peace-loving citizens working for a better, greener world - one small action at a time!

“Healthy Alternatives” – Health and Culinary Club"
The students of classes VII & VII of Kulachi Hansraj Model School, under the banner of the Health and Culinary Club, participated in an engaging hands-on session focused on preparing a healthier version of a popular street food—momos. Moving beyond the traditional maida-based wrappers, the young chefs explored the concept of rice paper momos, filled with a nutritious mix of fresh vegetables and paneer. This innovative take on momos not only introduced students to healthier cooking alternatives but also encouraged them to be creative with flavors and textures. Each student prepared their own momo and enjoyed it with a tangy red chutney. The session was met with great excitement and enthusiastic participation, reflecting the students’ growing interest in mindful eating and culinary experimentation.

Visit to The Fashion & Development Instuitute !!
On 1st May 2025, the students of Fashion Design and Garment Technology and Home Science visited the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) as part of their academic enrichment activities. The purpose of the visit was to provide students with exposure to the practical applications of design and manufacturing technologies in the fashion and footwear industries.During the visit, the students toured various departments of the institute and gained valuable insights into areas such as footwear designing and manufacturing technology, fashion design, fashion merchandising, and pattern making, among many others. The interactive demonstrations and modern infrastructure gave the students a deeper understanding of the concepts they study in class.The students participated with great enthusiasm and curiosity, asking questions and engaging in discussions throughout the tour. The faculty members and professionals at FDDI were exceptionally helpful and supportive, providing detailed explanations and encouraging the students to explore different aspects of the industry.The visit was both educational and inspiring, offering students a real-world perspective on their field of study and opening their minds to various career paths within the design and fashion industry.
