Career Counselling Session For Parents And Students Of Class 10th

With the view of empowering parents & students of class X about the various career options available in different streams school has organised career counselling sessions on 20 December 2019. Mr. Jitin Chawla (Career Counselor,Director of the Center for Career Development) has been invited to conduct these sessions. Important factors related to the selection of a particular stream such as Aptitude , Interest, resources and personality, were discussed in detail. Students were encouraged to relate with the above factors and then make a right decision of streams accordingly. Parents were guided to explore the emerging opportunities rather than making conventional choices for their children.Students were motivated to follow their instinct to understand their potential. Concept of starting business, Overseas education and unconventional careers like photography, food trucks, website launchers etc. were also discussed. Science students were also given an option of law & MBA to break the mentality of engineers and doctors for them. Various Medical as well as paramedical fields were detailed with the various institutes offering the related options. At the end different queries were asked by the parents & students and patiently answered by the expert.
Our principal Madam also addressed the parents and students separately to make them understand about the criteria for selection of streams and the importance of pre board exams. Effects of good food and sound sleep were also discussed in general.
