Matar Kulcha – The Healthier Way*
Students of Classes VII to X from Healthy Alternatives - the Health and Culinary Club of Kulachi Hansraj Model School engaged in an exciting culinary activity by preparing the ever-popular Matar Kulcha – transformed into a wholesome blend of taste and nutrition.
The session beautifully highlighted the importance of making balanced food choices in everyday life. With protein-packed matar (peas) offering essential nutrients and freshly prepared kulchas adding flavour and satisfaction, the dish turned into a perfect example of how street food can be both delicious and nourishing.

Healthy Alternatives in Action: Fruits and Nuts Jelly Making
The students of Healthy Alternatives – The Health and Culinary Club of Kulachi Hansraj Model School from classes VII to X participated in an enriching session where they learnt and prepared a delightful fruits and nuts jelly. The activity combined the joy of cooking with the importance of healthy eating and nutrition awareness.
Through this hands-on experience, students explored the value of DIY culinary skills, creativity in food presentation, and the idea of making simple yet nutritious recipes. Preparing the jelly not only enhanced their confidence in the kitchen but also helped them understand how healthy alternatives can be both tasty and appealing.
This activity encouraged students to appreciate the art of mindful cooking, blending health, creativity and skill development. It was a step towards fostering lifelong healthy habits while also nurturing a love for innovative food preparation.

Exploring Colours and Ideas through Stencil Printing
The students of Paridhan – The Fashion Club of Kulachi Hansraj Model School explored the world of stencil printing by creating their own stencils and developing vibrant prints. This engaging activity celebrated their love for colour, art and design, while also highlighting the joy of DIY creativity.
Through this initiative, students not only enhanced their skills in innovation and design with utility, but also learnt how such simple techniques can be transformed into income-generating opportunities. The activity emphasised the value of skill development and self-expression, while encouraging students to think of art as both creative and practical.
Stencil printing proved to be an activity suitable for learners of all ages, blending imagination with purposeful design. It was a delightful step towards nurturing confidence, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit in young minds.

Kulachi Hansraj Model School proudly hosted MANASVITA- The Inter-School Wellness Quiz 2025 (NCR Delhi Chapter) as a Zonal Centre on 21st August 2025.
The aim of the event was to promote awareness about holistic wellness and mental health among students.
Various reputed schools participated in the event. Our respected Madam Principal, Ms. Archna Koul, encouraged the participants and presented Participation certificates to all.
Organised in collaboration with Expressions India, the event was a wonderful celebration of learning, wellness, and youthful spirit.

Healthy Alternatives Club – Traditional Culinary Exploration
The Healthy Alternatives – Health and Culinary Club of Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Classes VII to X, organised a hands-on culinary session where students mastered the preparation of Khandvi, a traditional Gujarati delicacy celebrated for its protein-rich goodness.
The young learners participated with remarkable enthusiasm, savouring the opportunity to acquire a new culinary skill. The joy on their faces reflected the pride of rolling out the delicate spirals of Khandvi, and many expressed their resolve to replicate this wholesome dish at home.
In a spirit of innovation, some students incorporated beetroot pulp into the batter, enriching the dish with iron and phytonutrients while adding a vibrant hue. This creative variation highlighted their growing awareness of nutritious alternatives in everyday cooking.
The workshop not only strengthened their culinary abilities but also fostered a deeper appreciation of India’s traditional food heritage.

*Dayanand House Assembly Highlights the Spirit of Sadbhavna*
Dayanand House celebrated its special assembly, with the theme of 'Sadbhavna Diwas', aimed to promote harmony, unity, and peace among all August 20,2025 in the school auditorium.The assembly began with Ganesh Vandana and included a short poem on sadbhavna to explain its importance. Music was also part of the program, highlighting the significance of peace and unity.
our different dance forms—Sufi, hip-hop, bhangra, and garba—were performed to represent various religions to show that India is a diverse country where all religions are equally important. A mime performance depicted different religions fighting before Mahatma Gandhi united everyone, showcasing the vision behind the Indian national flag. To end the assembly, all participants came swaying the national flag, and everyone took a pledge to live in harmony.

A Historic Day of Peace at KHMS – 14 August 2025
KHMS warmly welcomed the esteemed HWPL delegation with a traditional aarti and floral garlands, setting a gracious tone for the day. Distinguished guests included Mr Woo-nam Kim (Chief Branch Manager, HWPL G03), Mr Logan Park (General Director, Peace Education), Mr Jaden Lee (General Director, International Law), and Ms Sandy An (General Director, IPYG).
A captivating Kathak–Bharatnatyam fusion dance celebrated India’s cultural richness, followed by Ma’am Principal’s inspiring address on “Peace for All”, a patriotic song, and a heartfelt student ballad. Mr Woo-nam Kim’s keynote, “Peace is the Way of Life”, deeply moved the audience.
Peace Educator certificates were awarded to KHMS teachers, and the Global Wall Ceremony saw the South Korean flag placed beside the Indian flag - a powerful symbol of friendship. In the conference room, Mr Logan Park shared insights on integrating peace into education, culminating in the signing of the Peace Declaration and unveiling of KHMS as an official Peace School.
The day concluded with the exchange of souvenirs, warm farewells, and a united pledge to work towards a world where peace prevails.

Independence Day Celebration – 13 August 2025
Kulachi Hansraj Model School celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The programme commenced with the soulful rendition of the DAV Gaan and the Gayatri Mantra, followed by the Swachhta Shapath, reaffirming the students’ commitment to cleanliness. The ceremonial flag hoisting filled the air with pride, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem and Vande Mataram.
Madam Principal addressed the gathering, inspiring students to uphold the values of freedom and responsibility. A student’s speech and a thought-provoking poem reflected the spirit of patriotism, while the Music Department’s melodious songs and the stirring chorus of Sare Jahan Se Acha added to the celebratory mood. The programme concluded with a vibrant finale dance, leaving everyone with the resonating cry of Jai Hind.

Celebrating Excellence at KHMS
The Annual Academic Excellence Award Ceremony was held on August 7, 2025, at Kulachi Hansraj Model School with great enthusiasm and pride. The event celebrated the academic achievements of students from Classes VI to XII, honouring their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence.
The ceremony began on a traditional note with the soulful rendition of the DAV Gaan, followed by a floral welcome, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and a graceful Saraswati Vandana. The welcome song and cultural presentations added a vibrant touch to the occasion.Principal Archna Koul gave an overview of the CBSE result.
Padmashree Prof.S.K.Sopory, Chairman of the school graced the occasion with his blessings while distinguished alumnus and Chief Guest, Mr. Raj P. Narayanam, inspired the gathering with his words and graciously inaugurated the newly renovated school block.The special invitee of the occasion was Ms.Sneh Verma,former Principal of KHMS.Cricket star and proud alumnus Priyansh Arya was also felicitated for his outstanding accomplishments on and off the field. The release of the school’s latest e-magazine added another highlight to the day.The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Manager Mrs. Adarsh Kohli, followed by the National Anthem.

The morning assembly, led by the Discipline Brigade on the theme .
“Discipline Begins With Me,” inspired students through self-affirmations and Principal Ma’am Mrs. Archana Koul’s motivating address.
The new Class-wise Discipline Report Card was introduced, assessing punctuality, uniform, transitions, cleanliness, and obedience.
Star Classes for July—IX-J and X-C—were honoured for their consistent excellence.

Visit to National Museum (5 August 2025)
A group of students visited the NAtional Museum as part of their educational excursion. The visit was organised to help students explore and appreciate the rich cultural and historical heritage of our country.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the museum staff and given an introductory briefing. They toured various galleries showcasing ancient artifacts, sculptures, coins, manuscripts, and paintings from different periods of Indian history. The students showed great interest in the exhibits and asked insightful questions, especially in the sections on Harappan cicilization, the Mauryan Empire and Medieval India.
The highlight of the visit was the miniature paintings and Indus valley civilization which gave students a deeper understanding of the subect matter.
The trip was both educational and enjoyable. It enhanced the students' knowledge of history and encouraged a greater appreciation for our national heritage.
